YES! I agree. I too believe that the dream of any artist is for that art to sustain them monetarily as well as creatively! I also understand your unique pain as a poet. It is indeed the least appreciated (monetarily)literary art, and yet it is one that feeds the soul, perhaps more than other literary forms.
Sometimes it is that greater purpose that sustains us when our art does not provide a substantial income. I congratulate you on your dedication to your art and for your recognition of the many ways you are paid &quot;in ways few people can ever imagine.&quot; Of course, I wish you continued and upward success in the &quot;dollars and cents&quot; sense as well.

When that dreaded question &quot;Who is your publisher?&quot; is asked, I smile and flip over the book proudly displaying my &quot;Indie&quot; publisher. I am not ashamed of the route I have chosen. My novels may have never gone to print if I had waited. Hopefully, things will change for us and the big dogs will see our light at the end of their tunnel.</description>
